LDAP and empty root DN values

Using Hudson ver. 1.353

I have no idea whether our LDAP tree is configured sanely but the
configuration I have been given requires an empty root DN value.

When if I specify a blank value Hudon will replace it with
   cn=Driver Set,ou=RESOURCES,o=SAP

If I knew more about LDAP I might be able to specify the equivalent of
"current directory".

Is this expected behaviour?

I have this exact same problem.

I need this value to be blank for authentication to work but Hudson keeps filling it with crap when I change hudson configuration.  Have you found a work around or created an issue yet?
