Fwd: Jenkins survey being drafted

kohsuke Kawaguchi (CB)

Forwarding this to jenkinsci-dev as I think developers are more likely
to be interested in finding out more about users.

Hmm wait, where is the actual survey draft?

You say it's at
http://pages.cloudbees.com/Jenkins_Survey_2011_JenkinsSurveyDownloadPage.html
but that page appears to have just 2011 stuff.

Kohsuke, thank you for catching this! Copy/paste error on my part.

Correct links:

2012 Survey Draft: http://wiki.cloudbees.com/bin/view/Jenkins+Enterprise/2012+Jenkins+Survey+Draft

2011 Survey: http://pages.cloudbees.com/Jenkins_Survey_2011_JenkinsSurveyDownloadPage.html

Apologies for the confusion...

The 2012 survey launch at JUC San Francisco
<http://www.cloudbees.com/jenkins-user-conference-2012-san-francisco.cb>
on 9/30 and will run through the end of October. It will be interesting
to see how the 2012 results differ from the 2011 survey results

Thank you for any feedback you have.

Re: Fwd: Jenkins survey being drafted

Christopher Orr
I think a couple of other things may be interesting:

1. How do you like to get Jenkins support (similar to "How do you find
plugins"), i.e. via colleagues, StackOverflow, IRC, mailing list,
support contract with X?

2. A free text comment field at the end would probably be interesting,
for any free-flowing thought from users.

Regards,
Chris

The question on which servlet container Jenkins runs would be also
interesting, though not sure if interesting enough to worth separate question
and makes the form longer :-)

I'm getting offtopic here, but I've been wondering if there's any way to
sniff this from inside Jenkins itself (by looking for some well-known
class names, property file that contains the version number, etc.)
